Great stuff,CC is working again, none of my doing mended itself! Trouble is the speedo packed up now.It stopped after a bit of a burn up with an airhead in a Toyota. Where's the first place to look for a possible cause?

Hi bosscat,
Excuse my ignorance but what is CC? There are two likely candidates for your speedo woes. One is the sender on the diff and the other is the speedo itself. The usual way to tell which is at fault is to ask the question "does the mpg fuel consumption display work?". If it works then the sender is OK and the problem is with the instrument in the dash. Try thumping the dash and it should come back on at least for a while. If the mpg meter doesn't work then its likely to be the sender. On the 2.5 the sender is a real pain to get at. However the 2.0 may have more room to play with. I'm sure another 2.0 owner will correct me if I'm wrong. (Of course if the 2.0 doesn't have a fuel consumption meter then you can ignore all the above !!) Cheers noz -------------------- '10 '59' C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Tourer Metallic Grey
