Hi All
Well it is distantly related I guess, but a DS is to be a TV star again Saw a clip tonight, Julie Walters is starring in a TV Program called Driving Lessons The car to use: A Swivel lights DS Estate!!! Looking forward, just to see the car.. I envy the lad driving it.. or at least I will... Oh, and I'm sure all us XM fans have watched Ronin (Robert DeNiro) for the XM chase BUT How many eagle eye viewers are there amongst us, has anyone spotted the SERIES ONE and SERIES TWO V6's they used??? Oh yes... I beleve as much as four cars were used, a series 2 at the start and finish, but during while the audi was on its heels it swapped between a S1 and 2 a few times!!! I was so intreeged at seeing the XM in the film, AND genuinly going at such speed, I never noticed the first few times!! I think the confusion with one of the XMs in Ronin (the navy one I think), was that it was an S2 car, but seemed to have an S1 grille at some point. I think they damaged it when filming the scenes where it crashed through the market stalls etc.
They also dubbed over the engine sound of the silver V6 in the end chase for some reason.... -------------------- '95 XM 2.1TD VSX Hatch: RP 6429. Rare green ;-)

Ah ha
But look again!!!! When you have the front view of both the audi and the XM (I think its this scene) when audi is side hitting the XM LOOK CAREFULLY SERIES ONE MIRRORS ARE EVEDANT!!! Is that on the rocky mountain road where they're side by side for ages, then go off down a hillside with jumps etc?

Yes it is!! A good chase, shame to trash so many though, they had to be 24v motors too!! :-(  Henry, Yeah they had to do that, apparently the Merc puts the power to the floor SO WELL its hard to spin it, so they oilled the wheels to make sure they slid!!
