I may be wrong but I think the mechanicals are the same but the electrics are different as the Mk1 doesn't have the 'one touch' feature.

Hi Chrisdel

The door loom needs to be rewired and the Mk1 drivers door control box and bits of the Mk1 loom are required. There is a self help file on the conversion on the web site.
I am about to recover the bits from the modified door as the vehicle was recently written off and sold back to me as salvage.
Let me know if I can be of any help.

Regards

Hi Chrisdel,

Alternatively, if your electrics (motor and electronic control box) are OK, ypu should be able to bolt them straight onto the Series 1 gearbox. The worm drive comes attached to the motor and I think you'll find it's identical in both Series.

Hi Peter.

Aww yes you are and are not wrong..

Base models IE: I or D trims DO NOT have one touch, however there were not many sold, so MOST should have one touch, that being Si/Sd and SEi/SED trim and of course V6 models..

I'm not so sure about Series two cars though, is it SX that do not have one touch? Or does the VSX also NOT have one touch??

Most S1 cars I've seen do have one touch.

Hi All

Citroenxm is right about Mk 1 cars as most had one touch drivers window control. A standard 2 wire window motor was fitted and the one touch ECU was mounted on the inside of the door card just above the courtesy light.
With Mk2's both VSX and Exclusives had anti-pinch added as well as the one touch. For this the ECU to control both functions was built onto a special window winder motor with a 9 wire connector. SX Mk2's were fitted with a standard window motor and a simple switch so without anti-pinch or one touch.

Hi all

Ah, our resident Series Two man would put me right about S2 cars...

I'm fine with S1 cars, as these are all I've had. But the odd electrical section on S2 cars are unfamilier to me

Thanks xmexec!
