The cd player on the car has packed in with one of my favourite cd's in! Now that in itself is not a problem as I am quite good with a hammer! The problem is that whoever fitted it ( it's a non-Citroen) has chopped off the 2 (?) blocks on the end of the radio loom and taped another loom onto it. So, that's why the steering wheel controls don't work then! My plan was to see if I could get one of those adaptors that appear on ebay now and then and fit this giving me back the steering controls.
Has anybody got a loom with the correct blocks on and also a Citroen cd player to sell? Or any ideas how to get around this problem as my wife is sick of me singing! laugh.gif Many thanks.

Hi biton the side

Is that the 5pin ROUND din plug you are after????

I am currently breaking a 1991 H reg S1 SEi, and still have that part in the car, can remove for you

Do they use the same type of connector on S2 cars?? I cant remember

citroenxm - I'm not sure to be honest. Whoever fitted the last cd player ( Wyatt Earpp I think) chopped off the Citroen wiring blocks. I only assume it had 2 on there as the conversion kits that are on ebay have 2 at one end and only 1 at the other which looks very similar to the one that is hanging out of the hole where my cd player was!

From memory when I changed my radio a number of years ago - the Mk2 does not have a round connector for the controls. It has the usual 2 iso (or whatever thay are called) connectors (always used in a pair and occasionally you get a single block with both in) for everything else and another block with a single row of contacts - no idea how many but probably something like 6 - for the controls.
