Liquification Point For Town Gas

Hi,

Does anyone know how much pressure domestic UK mains gas has to be put under before it becomes a liquid at normal atmospheric pressure?

It depends on what you mean by town gas because it's quite different to natural gas. Liquification point is the same as boiling point, just viewed from the other side.

Curiosity has got the better of me. Why do you want to know?

I've toyed with the idea of creating H2 and O2 from water by a wind power generator and a big rectifier with the electrodes in a bath of water inside upturned 45 gallon drums. The H2 and O2 are then syphoned off and fed to a hydrogen cell for either electricity or direct heating.

Is your question for such a hair brained scheme or purely for academic interest?
