Hi all

Firstly, advanced appologies to Admin if I've put this in the wrong place. Only place that I could think of placing this..

Has anyone had a crack at a complete front subframe removal job, with engine and box still attached??

Is it a little easyer then lifting the engine up and out?? I ask, as I have no hoist JUST yet to lift unit up, but could drop whole subframe down to get rid of body on the car I'm breaking...

Any pointers/experience in this area anyone?? If not, I'll give it a shot blind myself and see what happens!

Many thanks
citroenxm

Hi Paul

It seems to me that it should work BUT the body is a big, heavy akward lump that has to be lifted fairly high to back it off the engine. I have been using a variant of this technique with the 2.5 currently in the unit. That is to cut the body into bits small enough for easy one man handling.

Regards

John
