Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if the steering wheel fascia cover (the bit with the audio controls on) on the Series 1 is levered off or are there some screws. Haynes only describe Series 2. I would appreciate any tips on removing the steering wheel as I want to swop my plastic SI one with the leather SEI one. Thanks Paulxmski -------------------- XMV6SI 1990 - XMV6 SEI 1990

Hi,
I did this execise not long ago, Pull off the steering wheel center cover its a little stiff but it will came off a small flat bladed screwdriver helps then carefully disconnect the radio controles and using a sparkplug socket (i think it was the biggest socket in my socket set) unscrew the Boss nut. Make sure the Steering is facing dead straight ahead otherwise the wheel will be at an angle. When refitting the centre cover make sure you dont trap the radio cables, Nice easy job Have fun.
