Hi all,
Hope I'm not speaking too soon but I've fixed my intermittent speedo (electronic). I took the dash to bits at the weekend and removed the guts of the speedo. The actual revolving metal can is supported at 4 soldered joints on the pcb. One of the joints looked a bit ropey. I soldered all 4 and reassembled the dash. It has been going now for 5 days without a glitch. OPreviously it would come on and off on every journey. I'll post some pictures later tonight if I get a chance. cheers noz -------------------- '10 '59' C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Tourer Metallic Grey

Well done!!
I thought the electronic speedo does not have any revolving cable though, I though this was courtesy of pre '95 cars like mine: my speedo is not playing up, but it's noisy above 60mph. So, do they all have a cable going in them? And am I right then in guessing the fault in mine will be similar to yours? regards George -------------------- XM '94 V6 12v, manual, Diravi - Mark "1.5" in black - bought: 138,000mls now: 167,000 miles
