Hello all
Every day I eagerly read the posts that everyone writes about their cars.It never ceases to amaze me the variety of things that go wrong with them. The latest I have read is about a door that won't stay closed.Although I spend a lot of time in France,my French is not as good as it should be.I am wondering if Citroen were asked to produce a car for the clowns to drive at the circus-you know the ones I mean where after 3 feet everything drops off it-wheels,wings etc....and having done that somehow by mistake it got put into production and called the XM.
Much as I love my car you do always get the feeling which is endorsed by reading this Forum that you never know what is going to happen next with it.
Of course all the problems we suffer with our RHD cars maybe just the French way of paying us back for Poitiers,Agincourt and Crecy...they have long memories!Regards Rob
PS.I knew I shouldn't have written this post as I have just looked out the window and all 4 wheels have just dropped off my car!

Mine has been going so well for so long now that I am getting more apprehensive about driving it every day! sad.gif

I often think about the psychological effect of reading such a forum regularly, where there is almost everyday sombody writing everyday about a problem in their car; it seems to me that it actually makes you suffer 10 times more than u would if u just owned your XM and didn't know anything else about it! Only remedy is try to think how many problems YOUR car has actually had and realise that the other stuff u have in mind are faults on other's cars, NOT yours! biggrin.gif

George

Thats very true. I have been looking for a possible replacement for the XM when it eventually expires and thought the best place to find information was on the relevant technical forums, so far every car I have looked at has almost been ruled because of the frightening things that apparantly can happen to them, and yet I know people that own some of these cars that have had no trouble at all!

I have had some very reliable XMs but then I have also had some that were not, but of course you only read about the problems on the forums because that's what they are for.

If we didn't have this forum though, most of us wouldn't be able to afford to run our XMs. .... ohmy.gif How much?
