Hi guys, I just saw this photo of an S2 climate panel and immediately wondered whether I stupidly lived in the...dark for 2 years thinking that my S1 panel is not illuminated.
So, are S1 electronic climate panels illuminated at all -except of the temperature LCD, of course-. No button is glowing in mine. thanks George -------------------- XM '94 V6 12v, manual, Diravi - Mark "1.5" in black - bought: 138,000mls now: 167,000 miles

Hi George,
Yes it is illuminated simply pull the unit out of the dash, it is on spring clips and replace the lamps, it should take about 15 mins. Regards, Norman -------------------- Ex 98 Xm Vsx 2.1 Td Silver Estate RP 7548

Thanks Norman, right, I see 3 bulbs at the rear: one middle which illuminates the LCD (I've replaced that one in past) and 2 others, one at each side, that I had not noticed. Is that all there is to replace?

Hi George
Mk1 and Mk2 aircon panels are electronically identical and interchangable. It is only the plastic casing that is different. So you should get identical illumination and displays. Regards XMexc -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.

Hi George,
Yes thats it from what i remember check that the two outer ones are lit when you put them in also i found the only time to check them was at night as they are not very bright, not as bright as the one in the picture. Regards, Norman -------------------- Ex 98 Xm Vsx 2.1 Td Silver Estate RP 7548
