i have unearthed (no pun intended) a connector under the bonnet for a SAAB!

i do not know if this was ever connector to anything but at the end of a loose wire was the connector with the letters SAAB stamped on it. see attached photos for its location by the LHM reservoir on my 2.5.

does anyone know what this connector is for becasue the car does not seem to be doing anything differently. (except feeling like its in hard mode since the lhm change but i'm not sure how to check this fact)

Hi Gav

From the look of your photo the 4 wire connector seems to me to be the same as the one used in the ECU box of a 2.5TD to connect the fly by wire potentiometer to the main wiring loom. I will have a look next time I go to take some more bits off the remains of the car I am scrapping.

Hi Gav

Yes the fly by wire potentiometer on the 2.5 that I am scrapping has an identical connector but on the other side of the engine bay just in front of the drivers side strut. There does not appear to be anything on the passenger side of this car to match that in your photo. It raises the question were the early 2.5's fly by wire?
