Hi guys.
Does anyone have any detailed information on the mechanical cruise control fitted to some earlier 2.1TDs? My car did have the dash mounted switch, and it looks like it also has the vacum actuated device which can operate the throttle in the engine bay. Any information on the components required, their rough location etc, would be appreciated. I suspect that I'm probably missing an ECU (does it have one?). I know the car had cruise when it had the 2.0 TCT engine, and I've seen the thing on the throttle, so it appears the diesel engine does have at least some of the bits required. I'm hoping that some kind of (nightmarish no doubt) marraige of these two systems can take place.... Any thoughts appreciated! Cheers. Ciarán. -------------------- '95 XM 2.1TD VSX Hatch: RP 6429. Hi Ciaran
There is a current listing that says the cruise ECU goes in the front of the box with the other ECU's. The smallest one with 11 or 12 contacts. I can post you the article on vac cruise testing/repair from the CCC if this will help. email me an address. Regards XMexc -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.

Hi XMexc,
Who was the original author? Would he/she be willing to either create a self help file or allow someone else to do it? Looks like it would be a handy 'self help' to have on file. cheers noz -------------------- '10 '59' C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Tourer Metallic Grey

Well as Xmexc has agreed to post me the item, have no problem scanning and PDFing it, provided of course the original author doesn't mind....
