Is it not possible for you to order both the types?

If you want I can try my connections here in sweden but that will probaly take a day or two.

Incidently it is just wires that you bend. For instance resistors and diodes you nearly always need to bend the legs. Furtermore I wouldnt mount the VN05 standing while you dont get the cooling from the casing that way.

Hi Noz

All my enquiries with potential UK suppliers drew a blank, even the importer who included VN devices amongst those he specialised in.
The last price from Rapid was well up on your current quotes. RS no longer stock but were even more expensive.
My conclusion is that I do not want the hassel later on of trying to find an eqivalent device as a replacement when we can no longer get the originals. I would rather hold a stock of spares against long term personal use.

If you will please order me 20 of the bent leg version and 40 of the straight leg ones.
If you confirm this is ok I will put a cheque for £100 in the post to you and we can settle the difference when you know how the postage works out.

Regards

XMexc

And to muddy the waters even further. I did a search on SGS-Thomsons web-site. They got ecvivalents that perhaps still is in production.... It may result in a device that has some higher ratings but that cant be wrong, can it ? tongue.gif Annyway I need to look into this more this evening. (The boss seem to think I should be working.... Whatever gave him that idea?).

Hmmm I should have done this earlier...sorry sad.gif

I got one quote yesterday from a supplier here in Sweden.

30-99 pc. 38,75 sek/pc.
100-249 pc. 29,375 sek/pc.
250-499 pc. 25,1 sek/pc.
Uncluding VAT

in £ it becomes:

30-99 pc. 2,79 £/pc.
100-249 pc. 2,12 £/pc.
250-499 pc. 1,81 £/pc.
Including VAT

And P&P for delivery to me 12,79£ in sweden

What percentages is Your VAT?

Got more Info:

They are the vertical type. So my source is somewhat more expensive. But He hadn't looked for replacements while they where in good supply. He thougt that he wouldn't have any problem supplying up to 100K!!

Hi Noz,

How did this work out? I haven't checked this thread for a while but I'm still keen to take some.

Sorry all,

Work has been manic for months and it shows no sign of abating. I did eventually order 46 of the blighters and they have arrived. I need 4 in total to repair both of my ECU's so that leaves 42 up for grabs.

They cost me £2.30 (UKP) each including VAT and postage. Anyone can have them for the same price plus P&P.

On the basis that a first class stamp is 32p and a padded envelope is 50p then the total cost for a pair of SSR's would be £5.42 (UKP).

For non-UK the stamp is 92p and the padded envelope is 50p so the total cost for a pair of SSR's to anywhere in the world is £6.02 (UKP).

For larger quantities it depends on the weight so I can't tell you how much till I know how many you want.

I'll do my best to dispatch as soon as I receive your order but please remember I'm not a shop. I have some time in the evenings when I'm at home and not working away.

Cheers

Hi Noz,

Thanks for the good work on this. Please reserve four for me. What is the easiest way to pay you for them? It looks like I will be in the UK during the first two weeks in November so maybe we can sort something then.

Kiwi

Hi Noz

Will take 20 as spares for my 10 Mk2 suspension ECU's.
If you think that this quantity is unfair to others then I am quite happy to order another batch direct if you will let me have details.

Regards

XMexc

ok, so i am a bit late to this vote! but now i know a lot more about the suspension and its foibles i needed to read it.

Are there any left please? I guess two will be required. Am i right in saying one is for the front and one for rear?

My early mark 2 ('94) is i believe version H2. Also the naming of components seems to be a bit dupplicated:
i assume the accumulator sphere is the front centre sphere is the control block sphere is the middle sphere.
As for the rear this seems to be the rear centre sphere, the anti-sink, etc, etc. I only have one at the rear.

despite the translations from french to english, these citroens are great cars though!
