Does anyone know if anti sink was fitted on my car (details below)? It drops (mainly at the back) overnight.
Thanks if you can help (and glad you got the database fixed)! This post has been edited by knitatoms on August 08, 2006 04:55 pm -------------------- 1995 S2 VSX 2.1 TD Estate Manual (Blue) RP: 6594

Hi Kit
I suspect that you do not have antisink. I had an early 95 2.1TD estate and it used to drop particularly at the rear overnight. I know that this did not have antisink because I still have the rear subframe behind the shed and it does not have the extra bits. Do not have an ORG No. for it as someone had erased it before I got the car. My V6 is ORG 6910 and this is also without antisink. It seems that they only put it on the 2.5's for the first couple of years Mk2 production. Regards XMexc -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.

I have a '96 2.1 td estate, although made in '95, and the back sometimes drops within a minute or two of stopping, at other times it stay up for hours. I think there must be something not right with it though because in cold weather the pressure is very slow to rise, once warm the the back comes up almost instantly.

Hi Kit, Peter and All
In my experience the difference with the 2.5's that have antisink is very noticable. These will stay as pumped up for weeks rather than days. In fact I changed the 4 wheels on the SORN silver 2.5 yesterday without starting it up. It has been at least 2 weeks since I started it and I could easily get the jack in and lift each corner of the car without causing the suspension to alter. The green one stored in the unit has not been started for over 6 months and has not yet dropped on its suspension. From this you will gather that XM's with anti sink cannot be considered to be a proper car by Citroen purists. Regards XMexc -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.

Hi XMexc
Think of all the children you are dissapointing as they wait for the car to rise (and some adults) Peter.N. -------------------- Used to have:
