Apropose nothing at all. After having read something about the smoothness of the Lexus 400 V8 engine, I lifted the bonnet on my car with the engine at tickover and balanced a £1 coin on the flat part of the inlet manifold, Result - nothing. It didn't fall over, roll or even shake.

you can do the same with a 6lrt V12 Jaguar engine just goes to show how balanced the engine needs to be
