Hi all, just refurbished my pinion valve and am soon gonna put it back in place, the hydraulic supply and return pipes ( not the banjo pair) don't have any seals in them and the end of the pipes are shaped differently to the usual hydraulic connections with a rubber seal.
When i took it appart nothing fell out and there are no seals on the end of the pipes. is this how its suppose to be?. Also the kit i bought (Q4048) had six rubber top seals, the part that stops dirt from getting in the around spline shaft and six different coloured plastic dust caps!. The one i took off the car was brown so i put a brown one back on although they all look to be identical just different colours. There were also two hydraulic pipe seals one large and one small, is the kit made for all models of citroens that have power steering?. Rouben. |

Hi Rouben,
I'm at work just now so I don't have access to the XM parts microfiche. It might be worth looking at the microfiche to see if any seal s are shown on the exploded diagram. If you don't have a copy of the microfiche I'm sure it will turn up if you search on google. It is free to download. Cheers noz -------------------- '10 '59' C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Tourer Metallic Grey
