... the the idea of having both.

I definitely would, if I could afford it (road tax is prohibitively expensive in this country). I'd have the XM for its reliability and its looks*, and the CX for its ride quality.

* This is where Andrew is going to kill me wink.gif

Moi? I didn't say anything...

Cx OR Xm? The answer IS a fudge - BOTH!!

If just the one, the final decision is down to nothing more accurate than personal
subjective preference - it'd probably be easier splitting an atom with your car key!

Bit like saying which one of your kidneys you preferred over the other and the CX
and Xm are similar!! You HAVE to have a Cx to run alongside an Xm so they can
BOTH charm and irritate in equal measure! biggrin.gif

Hi Sam

They're a cracking little car the AX, with, as you say, remarkable fuel economy. Those I've had have done 60 mpg with no effort at all.

Mike.

They are, i had a 1.0 for a while, really fun car to drive actually, the soft suspension and body lean is something else! I can remember haveing 4 people in it, every time i turned a corner there was a grinding noise, it was the mudflaps scraping the floor laugh.gif

Mine was a wreck though, bodywork and interior was mint but it had just about everything done to it over the year i had it. HG, starter motor, ignition barrel, battery, 4 tyres, alternator, 2 replacement engines! the list was endless. In the end the gearbox started to go, which i got fixed and then sold it - never scrapped a car yet!

A CX and an Xm, now there is a nice selection of cars to own, just dont get a black Safari!

I spotted a CX hearse (im not kidding!) last week, very very clean it was too, maybe its still in use?! ph34r.gif

laugh.gif Nothing wrong with black Safaris...

It was actually a Hearse, it was parked in the same car park i was, so i went and had a look around it, it had a hearse type bulkhead, but i didnt want to look inside too closely! ph34r.gif

Thats very smart, Unfortunate reg though or maybe appropriate!

Although the one i saw was just a black estate car, with blacked out rear windows. Not wanting to look too closely through the windows i looked in the front and it had a wood and chrome bulkhead behind the front seats. It was an F reg, so quite a late model.

When my dad had his Citroen specialist business he used to service a grey CX hearse, the owner commented about buying our van, as it would be ideal for his job collecting bodies mellow.gif

My first CX Safari was dark red with a black vinyl roof - everyone said that looked like a hearse, I resprayed it white.
