Several years ago a mate of mine handed me a phone number of a chap who travelled the UK recharging Citroen spheres from the back of his van. Allegedly you called him and when he had enough enquiries from any given area to make it worth his while, he would give you a visit. At the time I believe this worked out at about £10 a sphere.
Trouble is, now that I need my spheres charging I cannot find this number. I'm posting this in the hope that someone out there may also have heard about this service and has a contact number. Thanks Jim. -------------------- 1992 2.1TD Estate

Hi Jim
If I were you, I would go for new spheres from GSF. The price is about the same and new ones are usually more reliable. They do a very good mail order service. Look up the GSF website and you can order them online or by phone. Peter.N. -------------------- Used to have:

I'm in a similar boat with the V6. After checking a Citroen parts fich I discovered that the two front and rear strut mounted spheres are unique to the late V6. The center spheres, anti-sink sphere and accumulator are all standard saloon types, but the strut spheres have a different size damper hole/ pressure combination to any other model. The rears have already been recharged at some time as they are fitted with some sort of valve with dust cap, but the fronts are standard. My concern with GSF is they quote almost one size fits all, they quote the same part number for the V6 front as most other saloons, I presume the early V6's.
I'm not knocking GSF's spheres, I fitted a full set on to the wifes 2.0L three years ago, and they are still running fine and I'm totaly satisfied with them. Its just that they don't differentiate for the late V6, and Citroen wouldn't have gone to the time and trouble to redesign the sphere charactaristics if didfn't think it would benefit the car. I'm very tempted to try and come down to the Scotish meet in Feb, but its a fair old run from Aberdeen. Ian -------------------- '98 'R' XM 2.9 V6 Exclusive Saloon RP 7777 Silver

Hi Jim,
Depending on your answer I was going to suggest coming to the Scottish meet and I would recharge them there and then. However, Southampton would be a long journey. Cheers noz -------------------- '10 '59' C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Tourer Metallic Grey
