Hi All..

Well, I'm bracing myself for prehaps a VERY brave purchase. I have located a V6 24v Series 1 V6 XM. Its a 1991 H reg. Its Graphite Grey in colour. Has had a full recent exhaust fitted (Thank god), had a replace ment engine from a 1992 car with a crap body, and has had the modified heads done. IE: Cams etc, you know what I mean.
It has 106,000 miles on it, and a stampped history to 76k. Its had oil changes every 6000k from 76 to 106 k. I REAL enthusiasts car. I'm also getting a spare engine (not so good cams and followers) and Box (belevied to be good with no noises) with the car.

I CANT WAIT !!! tongue.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif ohmy.gif ..........................

Of course, If I haven't lost my license after the first week or so, and I decide to keep it, I will of course LPG it, need to so I can afford to run it, my 1992 V6 12 Valve on LPG will be up for grabs!.

Price to be with held untill I secure it!! Location also!! smile.gif wink.gif

(Does anyone know exactly how many 24's are in UK? We think we have found 4 so far between us)

Regards

Gongrats citroenxm, you should definitely have it! After all, why do you say it's a brave purchase? It's just another XM, with a slightly different engine which is perhaps a bit rare, but, with the internet, there are solutions for everything nowdays...and I guess, having owned XMs in the past, you already have the appropriate circle of contacts to seek help should you need it.

Good luck!

Hi jorgy9

Brave as far as my license goes!. 200bhp through a 5 speed manual box!
I had a Black V6 12 valve for a short time, and that was extreamilly rapid compared to the Auto.

My auto seems more like a 2 litre between 0 and 80 mph, but after 80mph it winds up to a good 140mph!!!!!

But no good round here. I guess the 24v will be "Fun" with a capital F. The ONLY thing it has NOT got compared to my 12 valve is cruise!

I will miss that. But look forward to seeing some Boy racers with Pea shooter exhausts in my rear view mirror! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
